![]() It's not about the fact that there's no music player. now that i look back at the title for this thread, i don't think it's giving off the right message. While you can bind Next, Previous, Play/Pause, and Stop to hotkeys, you'll never have the functionality of something like Winamp in the Eve Client.Īll things considered, I'd take Winamp over the Eve Client any day. To add to this, the ingame jukebox didn't have all the functionality I've come to appreciate from dedicated music players. The novelty of the idea was cool but having to copy the music from wherever I originally had it and pasting it in the music directory, as well as converting to a different format, was more trouble than it was worth. ![]() I don't know if it's still a thing but Cabal back in the day had this. They can't make a goddam MUSIC PLAYER after 3+ years? WOW. I've only heard about 8 different songs from the soundtrack. The Jukebox and all of its functions have been around since the beginning. I can't believe it's been this long, and CCP being CCP, they just brush it aside like a group of Nonchalants, regardless of the fact that it may be a crucial part of the game experience. And i've figured out how to skip the songs a while ago. Unfortunately it just plays it sequentially so you will hear the same songs in the same order each time and will take some 2 hours to listen the whole soundtrack with its classics. They added a button to override "dynamic" music and play back the whole soundtrack. It's sad that i have to play it externally to relive those awesome EVE moments. I have yet to hear "Doomed Forever" play during gameplay. I'd personally like to see the dynamic music changed to include a much wider variety of tracks. I also miss the jukebox, and although you said that using out-of-game music players isn't an option, just know that all those tracks you know and love can be found here: Soundcloud. How is using an external music player impacting your game play? honestly, no bs i'd like to try understand how something as silly as this changes the game so much for you while all the changes since you where away have not. sorry but lol really?Īs much as the old juke box was handy, yes nothing but handy and as much as i liked it, it's removal has never impacted my game play. You're perplexed? really? all the amazing new features, ships and abilities and the juke box or lack of has you perplexed. So you take a break, you return, first thing you do, to the forums, whine! where the music player? The so-called "dynamic" music option isn't quite. I never get a chance to hear anything else. But the dynamic music option only ever goes through three songs, that I've heard. And now, you might think I am speaking as if there is no music whatsoever. What matters is that an essential, supplementary component of the game's experience is completely missing. Codec problems, was it? It doesn't really matter, now. We were of course convinced that the Jukebox was broken. There is simply no excuse for this at this point. Games may as well have the soundtrack available separately so you may play it on an independent music player while playing the game. But that defeats the purpose of the game utilizing its own soundtrack. It isn't in-game, and I could very well do that for just about every game I play. And if someone actually thinks that an external music player is a solution. There's simply no excuse for an outlying problem such as this, for this kind of timeframe. I've played for hours now with the dynamic music option both on and off, and have yet to hear half the songs I heard when playing with the Jukebox around. We need another proper in-game music player with the ability to add custom tracks, just as we have before. I have returned to the game, and was perplexed by how there hadn't been some other sort of music player in-game. I've come back after two+ years, and even then, the whole Jukebox dilemma had run its course.
